Is Treatment Right for You?

If you struggle with a mental illness, substance use disorder or a co-occurring illness, you are not alone. According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), one in five adults are suffering from a mental illness. One in 12 are fighting with an addiction, and, according to the 2014 National Survey on Drug Use and Health provided by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), around 7.9 million adults have co-occurring disorders.

Admitting you need treatment can be difficult, but figuring out what treatment you need can be equally difficult. Not everyone needs the same type of treatment for one: Some people simply need counseling and therapy, while others may need residential treatment. Some people may seek treatment for one disorder, without realizing they have an undiagnosed illness too.

Sovereign Health of Florida knows how difficult seeking treatment can be, and that’s why we work to make it as easy as possible. We’re a leader in diagnosing, treating and helping patients recover from mental illness, substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions. The first step in our program is to properly diagnosis our patients, which is why we start with an intensive physical and psychological evaluation that not only looks at primary symptoms but any underlying ones as well. Since no two patients can receive the same treatment, we create customized recovery plans that work to help an individual regain control of their life and health.
